The Society offers the help of certain members including the Librarian in answering queries regarding the history of the Hebden Bridge area. These queries are answered using the resources of the Local History Collection and the personal knowledge of members. The Society will do its best to answer the query using these resources but cannot guarantee to provide a complete or satisfactory result. The Society does not accept any liability for the accuracy or completeness of information provided.

There is a nominal charge for queries of £2 for members of the Society and £5 for non members. These sums go towards helping to maintain the Local History Collection. Your request may be submitted electronically using the form below when you will be requested to pay via Paypal. Alternatively you may submit your request by post to the Librarian including a cheque payable to Hebden Bridge Local History Society. Unfortunately we are unable to answer any queries for which payment has not been received.

It may be possible to supply copies of documents by email or post subject to the completion of a copyright declaration form. Copies are charged at 10p per page and 50p for postage.

Please note that the Local History Collection is not well suited to searching for individuals. If you are researching your family history you may find that the Calderdale Family History site is more useful.
