Luddendenfoot in 1927 Looking towards British Furtex. The shops on the left have some interesting notices; 'Halifax Corporation Tram Parcel Office', 'Sewing machine orders taken here', 'public telephone' and one of the bill boards resting on the ground says 'How to view the eclipse' which dates the photograph around the 24th June, 1927. Reports in newspapers of the day tell of it being cold intensified by blinding rain, clammy mist, and biting wind. Ref No AT929NGO HBLSS |
