The album was made by the School and Young Person's Society of Eastwood Congreational Chapel.
It contains a short biography of everyone who left their homes because of the First World War. Most biographies are accompanied by a photograph.
The album cover
The album was given to the Charlestown History group by a member of Todmorden Antiquarian Society at an open day held in Eastwood in 2006. We are extremely thankful to them for preserving such a unique document for so long a time.
We welcome additional information about the compilers of this album and the people in it. Any information received will be added to the website.
